Sorry I’ve been gone for so long. Pregnancy had kind of put a damper on my creativity, but I won’t go into detail about all of that. E.l.f. Highshine liquid lipstick-Red Apple

Product Claims and Description: This richly pigmented high-shine liquid lip paint is enriched with Vitamin E to help hydrate and nourish the lips. The unique curve of the applicator expertly glides over the contours of the lips for an extra glossy shine.

E.l.f. Highshine Liquid Lipstick-Red Apple 1

Comes in a clear square plastic tube with a matte black top. Black lettering.
Tube is 4 3/4 in long with a 1/2in x 1/2in base.
The cap screws on securely, but this is one of those glosses where if you stick the wand back in the tube, but don’t screw it down the wand with automatically slid back out.
The packaging it’s self is durable and hasn’t broken on me. The lettering also hasn’t worn off.
Contains .27 fl. Oz. (8ml).E.l.f. Highshine Liquid Lipstick-Red Apple 2

Has a light vanilla scent.
Has a thick, slightly sticky consistency, but it isn’t too sticky.
Has no taste.
I noticed feathering after four hours of wear time.
Has a flat (no glitter or shimmer), glossy finish.
I found it to be hydrating.
After removing the gloss with a makeup wipe it left a stain.
Very pigmented.
Transfers very easily.
Claims to: Be pigmented- I agree. Hydrate-I agree. Have a convenient applicator-I disagree.
4 shades available: Naked Nude, Bitten Pink, Crushed Berries and Red Apple.
Costs $4.00

E.l.f. Highshine Liquid Lipstick-Red Apple 3

—Over All—
I really wanted to love this beautiful red gloss, but….omg did this stuff bleed outside my lip line and make me look like a sims 3 vampire. It wasn’t a pretty look and I haven’t used the lip gloss since. Not worth the $4.00 in my opinion. I do not recommend this to anyone especially if you have wrinkles around your lips.

Colour Pop Lippie Stix-Bound & Skimpy (Glossy Finish)

Product Claims and Description: Bound-We’ve made it easy for you – most of our Lippie Stix have a matching Lippie Pencil that was designed to match its partner perfectly. We’ve listed some recommendations for matching pencils, but hey, we’re not trying to tell you what to do! If you want to shake it up a bit, have fun mixing and matching! Glossy Medium to full coverage lipstick that is packed with moisture and an extra creamy feel in a glossy finish. Shade pinks.
Skimpy-Formula contains Vitamin E, Mango, Avocado, and Shea butter for added comfort and moisture. None of our Lippie formulas contain any nasty ingredients like Parabens or Sulfates. Medium-to-full coverage lipstick that’s ultra creamy and melts onto the lips. Shade nudes.

ColourPop-Birthday Cake, Skimpy, Trust Me, Lumier, Bound

Lipstick is housed in a white “stick” packaging with a pull off cap and the bottom is the color of the lip product inside.
The tube is 4 ½ in. long and ½ in. in diameter.
I haven’t had them long, but none have broken on me nor has the lettering worn off.
Contains 1.0g/0.0352oz of lipstick.
Bound is on sale right now (6/29/17) for $4.00 while skimpy is full price at $5.00.

ColourPop-Bound, Lumiere, Trust Me, Skimpy, Birthday Cake

Bound has a slight vanilla scent while Skimpy has no smell at all.
They have a smooth, soft consistency that is a tad thicker than your normal lipstick.
No taste.
On me Bound lasted 2-3 hours before the finish dried down to a matte stain that slowly started to wear off.
Obviously from the title these have a glossy finish. I have two other lippie stix from this brand but they are matte and matte x formulas so I thought they needed their own separate reviews due to the different wear times of the formulas.
These are what I call flat, meaning they contain no glitters or sparkles of any kind.
Not sticky.
My lips felt a little dry after this wore off.
Very pigmented.
Transfers as it is just a lipstick and not a stain or long wearing.
Claims to: Be glossy-I agree. Have medium to full coverage-I agree. Be moisturizing- I disagree. Be extra creamy-I agree.

—Over All—
With all the hype these got on youtube I expected something amazing, but to me these are just another good, cheap lipstick. So while I do like these, I have no complaints, I guess I was a little let down. If these were available in store I would probably be a little more excited. Idk… I just wasn’t blown away. So I guess what I’m saying is I do recommend these if you don’t mind the short wait for them to come in. Shipping to TX was actually pretty fast. If I remember correctly I received them in a week or under. Okay, no more babbling. Unless I fall head over heels for one of these colors I won’t buy them again.

E.l.f. Matte Lip Color

Product Claims and Description: This convenient jumbo sized lip pencil creates exact color application with twist up ease so you never have to sharpen – but we included a sharpener at the base just in case! The pigment rich color glides on effortlessly and easily to provide long lasting matte color. The enriched Vitamin A, C & E formula moisturizes and hydrates lips for beautiful healthy looking lips.

-Matte black tube with white lettering and a sharpened on the end that is the color of the lipstick inside.
-5in. long and 1/2in. in diameter.
-Opens easily and closes securely.
-Packaging itself is durable, but the lipstick inside tends to slip out in one piece, so make sure to store it upright or on it’s side.

E.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color2

-Very light crayon scent.
-Smooth, creamy consistency.
-No noticeable taste.
-Creamy/Satin finish (not matte).
-Flat, no shimmer finish.
-Not sticky.
-Very Pigmented.
-Does not tug on application.
-Wears off attractively (no staining, doesn’t leave a “Ring” around lips).
-Lasts 3-4 hours, less if eating while wearing.
-Stands up to all claims except for the fact that it’s not matte and I don’t find it particularly long lasting.

—Over all—
-I love this lipstick. It’s cheap, comfortable and comes in a verity of wearing colors for every look. I would recomend this tos anyone looking for a good, cheap no frills lipstick.

Cons: Not completely matte, transfers.

E.l.f. High Shine Liquid Lipstick in Red Apple.

I’m hoping to post a review on the E.l.f. High Shine Liquid Lipstick and Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation sometime soon, hopefully this week. I really wanted to like the Lipstick, but…yeah. More on I did’t like it later.

Manicure weekly.

Okay, so obviously I can’t manage to keep a schedule with these posts. So I’m just gonna go with manicure weekly from now on and hope I can do it on a weekly basis.

So this week the nail polish I chose was another one from hot topic. The Black Heart Beauty Iridescent nail polish in Blue Iridescent. Creative name huh? Anyway, the brush for this one was just your typical size round brush that coated the nail in three swipes. The smell is nothing different or super strong, just typical nail polish smell. It was completely opaque in two coats. It didn’t dry too fast or too slow. It’s all around your typical nail polish.

Black Heart Beauty Nail Polish-Blue Iridescent 1

What I want to talk about however, the reason I started these posts, is the lasting power. It, unlike the regular pink polish I tried, chipped on day two and by day three all of the polish on the tips of my nails had chipped off. Now at day 6 the picture below is how they look. My poor pointer fingers are only half painted. The other think I want to mention is that this polish is not smooth once it’s on the nails, dry. As you can probably tell from the pictures there is clearly a bumpy texture to it, which I think is because of the glitter in this polish.

Black Heart Beauty Nail Polish-Blue Iridescent 2

All in all, despite the lack of lasting power I’m still drawn to this polish because it’s just a beautiful color. It reminds me of mermaids or the unicorn theme that seems to have picked up and become very popular (for some strange reason), here lately. Any who, hope you all found this review helpful. Have a nice day. 🙂

Black Heart Beauty Nail Polish From Hot Topic-Neon Pink (Nail Polish Tuesday?)

Sorry this nail polish Monday is coming to you on a Tuesday. I had a busy weekend and didn’t get time to pain my nails until Sunday. I wanted to be able to wait two days before posting how well it’s holding up. So on with the post.

This week I was in the mood for neon nail polish so I went for this pink one from hot topic. I found the consistency to be perfect, not too thick and not too thin, and the brush to be the right size for my nails. I could cover one half of my nail in one swipe making it easy to paint my nail efficiently with three easy swipes of the brush. I also didn’t find that it had an overpowering smell.

Left Hand copy

For a five dollar polish that I bought at half price, it’s holding up surprisingly well. Usually neon polishes like this get air bubbles under it and flake off in one big piece, but this one has only chipped a little around the tips of the nails that I use most often. Over all I really like this polish.

Loreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss-Blushing Ambition

Product Claims/Description: L’Oréal’s Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss is their first high-impact matte gloss that provides high-impact, velvet matte color without the dry-out. The unique Pro-Sculpt applicator allows you to create endless looks from a bold sculpted look to a nude ombre. Benefits: Bold color intensity, lush feel. All day comfort.

The bottle is a hourglass shaped plastic bottle with silver lettering and a matte black top. ~The applicator is tear drop shaped with a hole in the center. ~The bottle is 4in. tall and has a 3/4th x 3/4th in. square base .~The cap screws on and clicks closed so it won’t come open easily. ~I’ve had this gloss for a while not and it hasn’t broken. ~It contains .2 fl. Oz. (6.3 ml.) of gloss.

Loreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss 7

~Has a sweet, tangy smell that reminds me of sweet tarts. It’s not strong and doesn’t linger. ~Feels soft and creamy. ~Despite its smell it has no taste. ~The creaminess lasted two hours during which I ate. The color itself lasted four hours before a touch up was needed, but I wasn’t able to touch it up because I was out of the house and forgot to bring the gloss with me. ~It is matte as the name suggests. ~It’s not sticky. ~I didn’t find it to be drying. ~As it wore off it left a stain-like pigment behind. ~It transfers as most glosses do. ~I find that is sinks into fine lines on the lips, but not in a bad way. (If that makes sense). ~I agree with all of it’s claims. ~There are 10 shades available as of 3-23-17.

Loreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss 6

—Over all—
This is one of my favorite lip glosses. It’s comfortably matte and the perfect shade of dusty pink, in my opinion. I find that this shade is complementary of my light green eyes. So for that reason I recommend this to anyone looking for a matte pink to complement light eyes or to someone just looking for a comfortable matte lippie, or anyone really. I will buy this again in the future.

Pros: Matte, Comfortable, Cheap, Long Lasting.
Cons: Transfers, has a scent, settles into fine lines.

Manicure Monday

Nail polish Saturday hasn’t been posted in a while because I have been giving my nails a break, but now it’s back and on a new day. The post’s are going to be a little different now. I’m going to paint my nails on Saturday’s and snap a picture then wait a few days and post how well the polish had held up from when I paint them on Saturday to when I snap the picture on Monday.

So with that said, on to the polish of the week, Sensational Color Gel Polish in Ocean Sparkle. This is obviously not a normal nail polish. It is a gel polish that needs to be cured with an led lamp. We’re coming to the end of day two of this polish and it still hasn’t chipped. I love it. While I don’t think this is going to last two weeks as it claims to, I do think it might at least last a week, which is saying something for me.

I’m still a little new to gel polishes, but so far it’s lasted longer on my nails that any other polish has. If you have any questions about this polish feel free to ask.

I like this palette. While the quality isn’t great, it’s still a good everyday smoky eye shadow. I would recommend that you give the other shades of this palette a try. Once this one is used up I probably won’t buy this again.
Pros: Easy, convenient, travel friendly.
Cons: Rough texture, not very pigmented.
