I absolutely love this lip scrub. Not only is it conveniently shaped like a lipstick, but it actually performs as it claims to. It has a maple sugar scent that makes you want to take a bite out of it. The smell is awesome, but the taste? Not so much. That is the only down fall considering it tastes like sweet chemicals. Anyways, back to performance. On first application there are excess oils that give this scrub a lipstick shape that needs to be worn down before the grit starts to show and work. But when the grit starts showing is when this product really shines. The grit in this looks to be made up of brown sugar and little brown beads. The brown sugar (med. Grit.) really gets in there and scrapes off dead skin while the smaller brown beads polish your lips and smooth them out. The natural oils in this finish things off and give your lips the moisture they need. Unfortunately though, the oil sometimes get wiped away when removing the sugars from lips. So I’d suggest putting a good moisturizing balm on after using this.

If you live in a dry climate or are just one to have dry cracked lips more often than not then this will be a life saver for you. I on the other hand usually have soft lips and only have to use this before I decide to wear a matte lipstick or if my lips have recently became sun or wind chapped.
The packaging is another thing that makes this product awesome. It is house in a square, metal lipstick type tube. It is matte black and looks high end. However the lid doesn’t snap on securely so I wouldn’t suggest tossing it in your purse or to roll around in the bottom of a makeup bag. The tube contains .16oz (4.4g) of lip scrub. A good mount if you don’t use it every day, but if you’re going to be using this often then I suggest getting more than one at a time. Oh and if you press too hard while using (which is easy to do) the product will break away from the base. It’s kind of aggravating, but not a big deal to me.

Pros: Removes dead skin from lips, Moisturizes, smells good, convenient packaging, only costs $3.00.
Cons: Tastes bad, some people consider it too harsh on the lips, product can break out of tube base.

Overall: I love this stuff. I have repurchased it and will continue to do so unless I fine one cheaper that is just as good. And I would recommend this to anyone looking to have softer, smoother lips. This gets a 5 out of 5 because it’s just that good despite the taste and tendency to break.

  1. I love this lip scrub. It is so easy to use. I’ve repurchased it multiple times. I definitely agree about purchasing more than one at a time if you think you’ll use it daily.
