Product Claims and Description:
This lightweight acne fighting foundation works to disguise redness, blemishes and uneven skin tone. The flawless coverage foundation formula is infused with acne fighting key ingredients Salicylic Acid, Witch Hazel, Camphor, tea tree and soothing Aloe, to help prevent and treat acne blemishes. Directions: Apply to clean and moisturized skin. Squeeze a small amount onto a sponge, fingertips or a foundation brush and starting at the center of the face blend outward. One layer gives a natural finish or apply in buildable layers for fuller coverage.
This foundation has a strong tea tree smell that will fade as you where it. The tea tree is part of the acne fighting concept of this foundation. It is creamy and thicker than most foundations that I’ve tried. I don’t by any means consider myself an expert on foundations. I just started to wear foundation, so my experience with foundations is limited. So please take that into consideration with this review. I would say that this foundation is more fit for oily skin because it can be a bit drying. It claims to disguise redness, blemishes and uneven skin tone and I believe all of these claims are true. And it was build-able on me without looking cakey. But I guess the big question with this foundation is do I think that it prevents acne? Eh. I didn’t really see a difference. It has light to medium coverage with a demi matte finish and it didn’t cling to any dryness that I had on my face. There are 5 different shades of this foundation. Porcelain, Beige, Buff, Sand and Caramel. I own buff and it oxidized on me, turning slightly orange, but it wasn’t that bad.
This foundation comes in an oval squeeze tube with a matte black top. The bottle is 3.5in.x1.5in.x3/4in. The cap screws on so there are no worries of getting foundation all in your makeup bag or purse. The tube itself is made of thicker plastic than a normal squeeze tube would be made of, there for making it durable. The cap is durable as well and the lettering hasn’t worn off of mine and I’ve had it for quite a while. The tube contains 1.12oz (36ml) of foundation.
Over all I like this foundation, it’s a good foundation especially for the price, but I’m not in love with it. I much prefer something a little more luminous. But if you like matte foundations then I would suggest giving this one a try.
Pros: Cheap, contains skin loving ingredients, light-med coverage.
Cons: Has a strong scent, can look a little cakey on dry skin.
